Sunday, January 15th, 2012

SILENT SCREAM has been nominated for the 2012 First Light Young Voice at the BFI. This year Sam Mendes (American Beauty), Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) and David Heyman (Harry Potter) on this year’s judging panel. Congratulations everyone – one of three nominations!!!

A short film by Integrate Bristol, a partnership with Zed Productions and edited by me. SILENT SCREAM is a drama-documentary made by 27 young women who attend schools in the Bristol area. Its primary aim is to persuade the communities that the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) must stop. Over 20,000 girls could be at risk of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the UK.

Felix’s Machine – part deux

Monday, December 26th, 2011

Directed by Tom Mansfield and edited by me, this short film takes a look at Felix’s
latest machine. Felix’s Machines are a series of extraordinary music making
sculptures constructed by artist and musician Felix Thorn. His instruments make
music by translating rhythmic audio structures into a three dimensional visual show.
